Messages are an important way to communicate important information to clients and floor staff. Here, we will explain how to add the different messages available to Infoplus.
Order Messages: There are several places where a message can be added to an Order record. These messages can be directed to several different groups of people based on where they are located on the Order record.
- Line Item: Order Assembly Instructions
When adding an Item to the Order, Click the 'Add' button.
OR when editing an Item on an existing Order, Click the 'COG' at the right of the Item line. Then Click the 'Edit' button.
The following screen will populate. Fill in the necessary Item data. Then select 'Advanced' and add the necessary information into the blank provided.
This data populates to the Order Line table on the Order Assembly Instructions tab. This space will support 250 characters with mixed letters, numbers, and symbols.
This data can not be edited on the Order Line record. Any edits will need to be made in the Order record using the above steps. - Gift Messages: This consists of 3 options. Each of the following blanks allows 28 characters with mixed letters, numbers, and symbols. The following messages will populate the Packing Slip under the 'Gift Messages' if the Packing Slip Template has these spaces active.
a. Gift Message To: (the person receiving the Gift)
b. Gift Message From: (the person that is sending the Gift)
c. Gift Message: (the message to the receiver) - Order Message: This blank is for short and pointed messages that a warehouse worker would see for additional instructions on the Order Assembly Guide at the 'Special Instructions' blank. eg. RUSH!, Notify when complete, or double box.
The blank will allow for 28 characters with mixed letters, numbers, and symbols. These messages can also be populated to the Packing Slip Template under the 'Special Instructions' for the customer to see. eg. Must Stay Frozen, Open Slowly, or Look for 'This Side Up'. - Order Assembly Instructions: This blank is for detailed messages that a warehouse worker would see for additional instructions on the Order Assembly Guide in the main white areas.
The blank will allow for 250 characters with mixed letters, numbers, and symbols. This will allow you to send detailed instructions to the warehouse teams. - Notes: Located at the very top of the screen, this is a record-specific place to put notes. These notes can only be reviewed while on the record screen.
