InfoPlus Product Update - January 10 2025

The Headlines:
Greetings InfoPlus users! We're back to kick off 2025 with a new round of further enhancements to aid in your journey through warehouse management. Notably, improvements to cartonization, location updates, how tags function, and receiving on a closed/fully received purchase order are included with this release.
We've got a treasure trove of surprises lined up for 2025, and we're practically bursting at the seams to spill the beans. So, keep your eyes peeled for our blogs and emails—you don't want to miss out on our team's moment in the spotlight.
Bug Fix: Estimated Cartonization
We've given a swift karate chop to a bug that reared its head with how estimated cartonization works. Previously, if an Item didn't have a weight value, the system would shrug and skip looking at the Receipts of those Items, resulting in a guessing game under the hood.
This little hiccup meant that cartonization was using inaccurate information, leading to freight estimates that were more fiction than fact.
We’re all about giving you the best information from which to make decisions, so we couldn’t wait to tackle this bug and we are happy to share that we have.
Now, estimated cartonization will return far more accurate results, ensuring you can bill with confidence. No more missing weight values throwing wrenches into your cost-saving plans!
Purge Order Tags when an Order is deleted
Tags are a pretty neat feature of our software, and we've noticed our users come up with all sorts of creative ways to use them.
Fun fact: tags were designed with the mission in mind to flag irregularities and issues rather than help organizing things, but we recognize that is not all they can be used for.
With that in mind, we've made some tweaks to help keep things tidy and efficient. Those tags can really pile up, right?
So, to make life easier, we've set it up so that tags automatically disappear when an order is deleted. After all, if the order's gone, there's no need for the tag to stick around and take up space!
Receiving on a closed or fully received ASN/PO
Let's say you get an ASN. You want to receive some of it but not all of it. You can do that. But what if you close the receipt before everything has been received, and you want to receive more?
You can do that now too.
Cool, right?
While we're building this as part of our Return Module development, this is something users can take advantage of right now, so we decided to get this out far in advance.
We'll save the explanation on how this works for the video below, but the takeaway from this is that you can now receive the same SKU for the same PO/ASN multiple times rather than just one single time and you can now receive it multiple times after the Receipt's status is Received, as opposed to only when it's in the status of Open.
This was a heavily requested feature from many users in the past and we heard those requests loud and clear. We recognize how useful this is for keeping inventory and adjacent records accurate as much as possible, so we're very glad it's out there now.
